Vigel was founded in 1947 in Borgaro Torinese (TO) as a manufacturer of automatic tapping machines. It later evolved into the production of special-purpose machines for the automotive industry, ultimately establishing itself as a leading company in the production of Multispindle Machining Centers for the primary automotive supply sector—and beyond.

Today, Vigel has expanded its portfolio with a complete line of Vertical Pick-Up Lathes, positioning itself as a key player in the machining of round parts for various industrial sectors.

Vigel also plays a major role in the EV industry, having been the first company in the world to develop machining solutions for GiGa Casting components. Its Bi 1600 and Giga Bi 1600 centers are a benchmark for EV manufacturers and are also redefining standards in other sectors such as aerospace.

With 78 years of activity and more than 5,000 machines installed worldwide, Vigel has become a symbol of Italian quality in the industry. The company exports 90% of its production and operates manufacturing facilities in Italy, India, and since 2024, also in Changzhou, China.
Vigel has technical service offices in key markets including Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific. Thanks to its global network and lean industrial organization, the company ensures fast installation and maximum operational efficiency at the customer’s site.
